The estate "Electa Sicut Sol"
The complex, consisting of three independent dammusi, is nestled in the picturesque scenery of the island of Pantelleria.
The property is situated in the western part of the island, and 365 days a year it is possible to enjoy beautiful sunsets; in the clear days it is possibile to see the coast of Tunisia, too.
All dammusi have been renovated with wisdom restoring the origins and local materials. These old houses are built of lava stone and even the walls are made of lava stone. They have typical domed roofs that, thanks to their shape, also act as means for collecting rain water. The thick walls keep cool in the summer and provide insulation in the winter.

Original Old Dammuso, built in the early 1800's
Entrance on the terrace paved in natural stone, surrounded by ducchena (typical seats of Pantelleria architecture); beside areas of succulent plants that surround the natural tuff cover of the cistern. This area, used as a solarium, is fenced on two sides by glass windbreak. Each dammuso's area has an indipendent entrance from the terrace, even if the rooms are connected inside.
The internals: Kitcken, living room, 2 alcoves (bed rooms), 1 bathroom
From the living room, a stone staircase leads to the kitchen made from a dammuso of 14square meters, with adjoining an old stone oven and 4 niches that form the dome of the old dammuso. The renewal has been carried out without disruption of the old structure respecting the work of the old builders of Pantelleria. In the living room there is a fireplace carved entirely by hand. Through a alley you get to the night area with two alcoves: one master and another defined by the old panteschi "dressing room" where there is a sofa. The bathroom, all battered concrete, consists of a concrete floor in batter with sink and cupboards below, a wardrobe and a shower with two ducchene inside.
Coming from the internal kitchen, there is an area delineated by a wall of an amphitheater from which you can access the roof of the dammuso; an arch leads to the veranda, with the external kitchen with sink, dishwasher, stove tops, large barbecue / oven, woodshed, washing room and outdoor shower; everithing is closed by antique iron doors. On the other side, surrounded by ducchene, a rectangular table for 16/18 people and a lemon tree that dominates the center.
The flooring is all made of old red tuff.
Dammuso Guest House
Separated from the old dammuso, there is another independent dammusello with private access, a pergola in front, living room with open kitchen, all made of batter of cement, with all appliances, a large wardrobe, a sofa bed, a table, bedroom with dammusata access to bathroom with tub shower.
Dammuso renovated in 2000's
700 sqm. of planted garden areas and front of the house with large areas of the garden with succulents. It is possibile to build a swimming pool in the garden, hydraulic pipes already set up (authorization must be asked).
The dammuso has a living room, kitchen, laundry / storage area with washing machine, sink and dishwasher, two bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and sunken tub, all battered cement.
The wide outer cover spans on two sides with outdoor kitchen, in whose area below there are 3 branches for service machinery and storage, outdoor table, ducchena battered cement.
